YellowBelly Brewery' Bottle Return Policy

UPDATED FEB 2024:

500mL YellowBelly beer bottles can be returned for deposit to our mothership location at 288 Water Street (corner of George Street). Best times are after we open at 11:30 before it gets busy, or mid afternoon.
For bulk returns (greater than 2 dozen bottles), an advance appointment must be made by emailing yellowbellybrewmaster@gmail.com.
For returns less than 2 dozen bottles, no appointment is necessary.
During summer months, bulk returns, for the customer's sake, should be done in the morning as the pedestrian mall opens at noon and they will be unable to access Water Street by vehicle (and consequently will have to lug dozens of bottles from their far-away parking spot).
Bottle return refunds can be used as credit towards take-away beer purchases at YellowBelly.

 

 

Customers are advised of the following bottle return policy at YellowBelly Brewery.

1) Bottles must have identifiably come from YellowBelly. Most of our bottles have at least three separate labels. There must be evidence of at least one of those labels. We cannot have cheaper versions of our bottle enter our re-use program, nor can we claim the property of other brewers. Cheaper glass, if put through our washing process presents a real danger to our filler operators.

2) We ask that all customers rinse their bottles after use. We cannot accept glass with mold growth or foreign matter (cigarette butts, cellophane, straws, tooth picks, etc) inside. We're pretty strict about that.

3) We do not accept ‘ditch’ glass (bottles found at the side of the road in a ditch), nor do we accept bottles with chips or cracks.

4) If you have obviously used our bottles for homebrew, they will be rejected as returns. By using these bottles, you have accepted ownership of these bottles. We don’t want them back. We hope you continue to enjoy using them though. They are very high quality bottles.
